antique flag dresser

this little beauty was so fun to do! i absolutely LOVE the color combination! i was going to do the full british flag, but after i got the cross finished, i really liked the simplicity of how it turned out. the dresser was in great shape structurally, but finish wise....not so good. i chose a nice soft palette for this dresser to keep it looking somewhat airy. i love the scalloped bottom and the nice curved legs.

i extended the stripe to the sides, to add some interest to the side view.

i've wanted to do a dresser like this for quite a while, but needed the right lines for it. this one was it! the nice detail and flat front made it work perfectly! the original hardware was all in tact and in great shape, so it was used again!

this would make a great tv stand or hall/entry piece, as well as a dresser.

44w x 21d x 36h

$450.-

i love it when the furniture pieces still have the old tag of where they were made...or somewhat in tact still!

mid-century hutch

the mid-century style is one of my favorites...and this hutch is gorgeous! when i get a mid-century piece i like to keep some of its originality if at all possible...meaning, if it has some wood thats in good shape, then i like to leave it. the contrast between the wood and the paint is something i love to see! i also think that the paint technique is really important for different styles of furniture. for mid-century furniture, i tend to cleanly paint them. they have such nice simple clean lines and the distressed look on something like that doesnt quite go together. the bones of this hutch were in great shape and needed a good cleaning.

i decided to use a dark gray, because i thought it was a nice contrast with the chestnut colored wood. the original hardware was all there and is to DIE for!!!

48w x17d x 64h

$675.-

headboard rack

a while ago i made a rack out of the footboard to this set....it sold right away...so i wanted to make another one! i chose a deep rich red for this one and love the oil rubbed bronze hooks with it!

59w x 29h (at highest point)

$200

antique dresser sink

im in love with this vanity! if i had a bathroom that this would go into, i'd keep it! the top two drawers are 'fixed' so they can't open, but the other 2 are fully functional. i stripped and stained the top and i love the contrast of the dark wood top with the green dresser and white vessel sink. i used some deco inspired white ceramic knobs to coordinate with the white vessel sink. the mirror is the same tone as the top of the vanity and can be attached to the wall. i specifically used a mirror that would attach to the wall, so there would be room for a faucet in back of the sink. another cool idea, would be to attach the faucet to the wall!

the sink is permanently mounted to the dresser and the drain is installed. your plumber will be able to hook your plumbing right up to it.

40w x 20d x 35.

$740.

new candle line!

i found another candle line for the shop! the 'balance line' i've had in the shop for a while is doing so great...that i wanted to add another. i found this cool company from wisconsin and they do 100% organic soy wax for the candles...AND they come in these cool retro mason jars, that you could reuse once the candle is gone. the scents are amazing!

$15.-

the LIBRARY TABLE is finished!!!

this was such a cool project...i was so excited to see the end result on this one! the table itself, is just amazing and getting it all stripped, sanded, and re-stained...made it incredible! this is one piece that i would absolutely LOVE to own....i've said it in the other posts...but again, love it! you won't see many pieces like this! it'll be going home to its owner this week sometime and i cant wait to see photos of it in its space!

i LOVE how this desk turned out!!

when i got the desk, it was a pale blue...and i'm just loving the pale blue and red combo...so i decided it had to be red! the pale blue comes through in the distressing. the flower knobs i had, worked perfect for it! the insides of the drawers are a bright pop of turquoise!
