new soaps!!!!

i just got some new soaps from THE GREAT SOAP COMPANY!

double mint
straight up patchoulli

and bouncing baby, which comes with an adorable little washcloth!

this has been in the works for a while...and it's now finally out on the floor! the bottom 2 drawers were in rough shape, so i took them out and decided to turn it into a wine cabinet. it will hold around 40 bottles of wine and about 10 wine glasses. the top drawer had to stay, because it had such gorgeous detail on it! i left the mirror frame in the original wood finish, to blend with the drawer.

lacey vintage dresser

i LOVE how this one turned out! the soft grey with the bright pop of tangerine....and the white lace on the drawer fronts! i distressed the grey on the body of the dresser and left the drawers cleanly painted in the tangerine. i added a little lacey stencil to give it a little bit of whimsy.

antique empire dining table

this dining table turned out AMAZING! its so gorgeous! the table opens up to 8' long....without the leaves its 48" round, and it has 6-8" leaves to put in it. when its open to the full 8', there are two little legs that drop down on either end to help support the top. the scroll feet on the base are so pretty and even have casters (that work beautifully)! i re-finished it from its sad and dull state and it looks great!

and OOOOOOHHH, it would look so beautiful with some modern, clean lined chairs like the photo below!! using a mix of vintage/antique with new modern design gives your house such an interest and eclecticism!
